History

Setoguchi Station opened on 31 January 1988, when the third-sector Aichi Loop Railway opened the Shin-Toyota–Kōzōji section and began running the line between Okazaki and Kōzōji. Located in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, the elevated station has a single island platform serving two tracks, above a staffed station building equipped with automated ticket machines and TOICA turnstiles. Direct commuter services to Nagoya via the Chūō Main Line began in October 2005, and TOICA card use was introduced in March 2019. In fiscal 2017 the station averaged about 4,085 passengers daily.
