Location

History

Sendagi Station opened on 20 December 1969 in Bunkyō, Tokyo, as an underground station on the then-new Chiyoda Line. The line was operated by the Teito Rapid Transit Authority (TRTA), which was privatised in 2004 to become Tokyo Metro; the station and its facilities passed to the new operator at that point. Sendagi has two side platforms located on separate levels, with the station number C-15. Yanaka Cemetery, Nippon Medical School and Dōkan-yama all lie in the surrounding area, within walking distance of the station.

Notes

Sendagi's two side platforms sit on separate levels rather than facing each other across the tracks on a single level.
