History
Sechigo Station opened on 24 December 1925 on the Mizuma Railway's Mizuma Line, which connects Kaizuka to Mizuma-Kannon. It is the busiest of the line's intermediate stops. The station has no station building or fare gates; passengers step directly onto a single side platform. With the 1 June 2009 PiTaPa rollout and conversion to one-man operation across the line, an IC-only reader and a touch-panel fare box were installed for use during weekday morning peaks (public holidays excepted), when all doors of Kaizuka-bound trains open. From 15 June 2020, weekday morning Mizuma-Kannon-bound services — like trains at all other times — have settled fares using the on-board equipment, as at the line's other unstaffed stations.
Notes
Streets immediately around the station entrance are too narrow for cars to pass through, and the station has no building, just an open platform.
