History
Satte Station opened on 1 April 1929 with Tobu Railway's Nikkō Line between Sugito and Shin-Kanuma. The opening of Sugito-Takanodai and Minami-Kurihashi stations on 26 August 1986 ended Satte's terminating workings and removed its passing loop. Direct services into the Eidan (now Tokyo Metro) Hibiya and Hanzōmon Lines and the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line began stopping here from 19 March 2003; the 18 March 2006 timetable revision then reclassified through workings, adding section-express and section semi-express categories. Station numbering TN-02 was introduced in March 2012. Major rebuilding from 2017 to March 2019 delivered an elevated station building, a free east-west passageway, and a west plaza. From the 21 April 2017 timetable revision, regularly scheduled limited expresses no longer stop except during the spring cherry-blossom festival.
Notes
Until Minami-Kurihashi Station opened, the 8.1-kilometre gap between Satte and Kurihashi was the longest inter-station distance anywhere on the Tobu network.
