Location

History

Sanyo-Aboshi Station opened on 6 July 1941 as Dentetsu Aboshi Station, approximately 100 metres west of its present site. It is the terminal of the Sanyo Electric Railway Aboshi Line in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, 8.5 kilometres from the opposing terminus at Shikama. The station was relocated and a new building constructed in December 1990, and was renamed to its present form on 7 April 1991. It consists of a single ground-level bay platform.

Notes

The original 1941 station, then named Dentetsu Aboshi, stood about 100 metres west of where the line now ends - the entire terminal facility was rebuilt and shifted in 1990, then renamed Sanyo-Aboshi the following spring.
