History
Sakidaira Station opened on 1 December 1931 as one of the original stops on the Ōigawa Railway's Ōigawa Main Line, 37.2 kilometres from the line's starting point at Kanaya, in Kawanehon, Haibara District, Shizuoka Prefecture. It has a single side platform serving one track, connected to a small wooden station building, and is unstaffed; it formerly had one platform face serving two tracks, one of which has since been lifted. Operations at the station were suspended on 24 September 2022 after Typhoon No. 15 caused landslide damage.
Notes
Until the early 1990s the station siding held two retired Seibu B11 battery locomotives and four coaches, abandoned in place rather than scrapped.
