Location
History
Rokuban-chō Station is an underground station in 1-chōme, Yonban, Atsuta-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, which opened on 29 March 1971 as a station on Nagoya Municipal Subway Line 2, the Meijō Line. On 6 October 2004 it became a station on the Meikō Line under a line renaming that accompanied the opening of Line 4 between Nagoya University and Aratama-bashi. Station operations were contracted to the Nagoya branch of Nippon Express from March 2011, and platform doors began operating on 22 June 2020. It has two opposed platforms serving two tracks, situated on a curve of the Egawa Line. The station is numbered E03 and its accent color is lime green.
Notes
On 1 April 2013, 14.5 million yen was stolen from the safe in the stationmaster's office, and on 12-13 December of the same year an accident occurred during asbestos-removal work in which crocidolite was released into the air at a concentration of 710 fibers per liter.
