Location

History

Rokkō-Sanjō Station was built as the upper (mountaintop-side) terminus of the Rokkō Cable Line, and was long operated by a Hanshin Electric Railway group company. On 1 April 2024, following a corporate name change and a company split of the tourism business, it became a station of Kobe Rokkō Railway. It has platforms on both sides of the track, with the side to the right (viewed from the station building) used for boarding and the side to the left for alighting. The stepped platforms are covered by a roof, and the station also houses Shop 737, the Rokkō Yūzan information center, and the observation facility "Tenrandai." It formerly connected with the Omote-Rokkō Station of the Rokkō Arima Ropeway, but the ropeway has remained suspended since 19 December 2004.

Notes

It was selected in the first round of the "100 Selected Stations of Kinki."
