Location

History

Rinkū Tokoname Station is an intermediate stop on the Meitetsu Airport Line, located on a reclaimed island opposite Chūbu Centrair International Airport. The Airport Line first began limited service between Tokoname and the airport on 16 October 2004, but Rinkū Tokoname was not yet built and trains passed through. The station opened to the public on 29 January 2005. Manaca IC card support began in February 2011. Although the station is unattended, it sits adjacent to Aeon Mall Tokoname, opened in December 2015, which drove a marked rise in patronage from 2015 onward.

Notes

Because pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles of 125 cc or less are prohibited from using the airport access bridge to the airport island, some travellers heading to the airport must transfer to a train at this station.
