History
Ōmura Station opened on 28 December 1951 as Ōmura Station with the extension of the Kobe Electric Railway's Ao Line between Miki-Fukuyūbashi (today's Miki) and Dentetsu-Ono (today's Ono). It was renamed Dentetsu-Ōmura Station on 1 October 1952 and reverted to its original name on 1 April 1988.
Notes
Although the Sanyō Expressway's Miki-Ono Interchange is about 1 km west of the station, the streets immediately around the station are too narrow for buses; the nearest bus stop is simply called "Ōmura," not Ōmura-eki.
