History
Okobata Station was established as a station on the Asanogawa Electric Railway on 10 May 1925, to coincide with the partial opening of the Kanazawa–Uchinada section. It became a station on Hokuriku Railroad's Asanogawa Line when Hokuriku Railroad merged with Asanogawa Electric Railway on 1 October 1945. Its station number is A08, and it is a ground-level station with a single platform serving one track, operated as an unstaffed station. The adjacent stations are Mitsuya (A07) and Kitama (A09). The station is located in Okobata-machi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, in a residential area along the Asano River.
Notes
Okobata still retains a substation building from the line's 600-volt era, now repurposed as a materials storehouse.
