History
Ogawamachi Station opened on 16 March 1980 on the Toei Shinjuku Line, operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation, and is numbered S-07. It sits beneath Yasukuni-dori in Chiyoda's Kanda-Ogawamachi district. Four levels underground, a single island platform accommodates both of the line's tracks. Because many riders mistakenly transferred onto the adjoining Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line at neighboring Awajicho Station, Ogawamachi's platform numbers continue Awajicho's sequence as 3 and 4, with no platforms 1 or 2. Underground passages link it to Awajicho and to Shin-Ochanomizu Station on the Chiyoda Line, and today it serves the Tokyo Denki University and Chiyoda City Hall Kanda-area district.
Notes
Since a 16 March 2019 extension of Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line through-service onto the Tobu Tojo Line reaches a same-named Ogawamachi Station in Saitama Prefecture, Tokyo-area subway maps now show two "Ogawamachi" stations, so PASMO and Suica fare records label this one "都小川町" (Toei Ogawamachi) to tell them apart.
