Location

History

Noseki Station opened simultaneously with the Nagoya Rinkai Rapid Transit Aonami Line on 6 October 2004, carrying station number AN10. The Aonami Line converted the former Japanese National Railways Nishi-Nagoya Kō Line to passenger use, and this station was one of the new stations opened with it. Ahead of opening it was shown at trial-ride events, for residents along the line on 20 September 2004 and for Nagoya citizens on 25 September of that year. It is an elevated station with a single island platform serving two tracks, fitted with platform doors as a safety measure. It is normally unstaffed, with staff from the neighboring Kinjō-futō Station handling its management. It is the station with the fewest boarding passengers on the Aonami Line.

Notes

It has the fewest boarding passengers of any station on the Aonami Line, and near the station is Inaei Park, a bird-watching spot looking out over the Fujimae tidal flats.
