Location

History

Noda Station opened on 12 April 1905 with the Hanshin Main Line; it stands in what is now Fukushima-ku, Osaka. In 1914 the Kita-Osaka tram line reached the station, and in 1927 Hanshin Kokudo Denki opened Nishinoda Station about 100 metres west; after their 1928 merger, Kokudo Denki's route became Hanshin's Kokudo Line and Nishinoda Station was absorbed into Noda Station. The main line was elevated in 1961, severing the tram connections, and Hanshin's remaining tram lines — the Kokudo, Kita-Osaka, and Koshien Lines — all closed in 1975. Today Noda Station is an elevated stop with two island platforms and four tracks, with nearby transfers to the Osaka Metro Sennichimae Line and JR Tozai Line, near Hanshin's head office.

Notes

Despite standing next to its own operator's head office, Noda Station is not served by Hanshin's top-tier direct limited express or limited express trains, which pass through without stopping.
