Location

History

Nitta Station opened on 1 July 1988 as a station on the Abukuma Express Line. It stands 17.0 rail kilometres from the line's starting point at Fukushima, in Yokodai in the city of Date, Fukushima Prefecture. It is a ground-level station with a single side platform serving one bi-directional track, and it is unstaffed. Fields spread widely around it; on the east side of the station, the Fukushima Prefectural Route 122 side, a residential area has been laid out in places, while on the west side, the National Route 349 side, hamlets are scattered. In fiscal 2016 an average of 137 passengers boarded here each day.

Notes

Nitta Station's catchphrase is "Home of Shizuribe" (静戸の郷).
