History
Nishi-Koyama Station opened on 1 August 1928 in Shinagawa, Tokyo, on what was then the Mekama Line. From 4 October 1995 work began on the continuous grade separation of the Meguro–Senzoku stretch, and on 5 June 1999 a temporary overhead station building came into use while the rebuilding continued. On 6 August 2000 the Mekama Line was split into the Meguro Line and the Tokyu Tamagawa Line, transferring the station to the new Meguro Line. Platform doors entered service on 29 July 2001, and the station was relocated underground on 2 July 2006. A three-storey station building, with the ticket gates on its ground floor, opened on 10 April 2008.
Notes
Although Meguro Line express trains skip the station, its FY2023 daily traffic of 31,458 outranks several scheduled express stops on the line.
