History
Nishikinuyama Station is a station on the Iyotetsu Takahama Line that opened on 10 June 1968. It is an unstaffed station with two opposed platforms serving two tracks, though during the morning rush an attendant contracted by Iyotetsu handles ticket-gate duties. On the Takahama Line, this station and Minatoyama Station became unstaffed from 28 March 2015. Daily boarding and alighting traffic was about 900 passengers per day in 1998, rising to about 1,165 per day by 2015. Its station number is IY06. The surrounding area has been developed as a new residential district, with housing development especially pronounced around the adjacent Aikō Gakuen school.
Notes
It is the only station on the Takahama Line without toilet facilities, and the area around it is crowded each morning with students commuting to Aikō Junior and Senior High School.
