History
Nishi-Hanyū Station opened on 1 September 1981 as a station of the Chichibu Railway Chichibu Main Line in Hanyū, Saitama Prefecture; its station number is CR02. It is a ground-level station with a single side platform serving one track and has an elevated station building above the tracks. On 12 March 2022 the PASMO IC card became usable there, and at the same time the station was unstaffed and fitted with a simplified PASMO gate. Before unstaffing it was a contracted-operation station managed under Kumagaya Station. The site retains enough space for an island platform serving two tracks, but one side of the current platform is now fenced off.
