History

Naruishi Station opened on 10 March 1990 as a newly built stop on the Matsuura Railway's Nishi-Kyūshū Line in Yamashiro-chō Mine, Imari, Saga Prefecture. The Nishi-Kyūshū Line has been operated by the third-sector Matsuura Railway since 1988. Located 20.0 km from Arita, the station has a single side platform serving a bi-directional track. There is no station building, but a waiting room, toilet and public telephone are provided, with two vending machines installed at the entrance.

Notes

Naruishi was built from scratch by Matsuura Railway in 1990, two years after the third-sector took over the line.
