History
Nakagōri Station is a tram stop on the Kagoshima City Tram's Toso Line, in Kōrimoto 1-chōme, Kagoshima. The Kagoshima City Transportation Bureau opened it on 20 December 1959. It has two opposing side platforms at ground level; riders may cross between them whenever a tram is not passing through, but because the platform width does not meet the required standard, wheelchairs and powered wheelchairs cannot be used on either platform. The stop is unstaffed and sells no tickets. Only the No. 2 tram system serves it, running toward Kōrimoto one way, toward Kagoshima-Chūō Station, Tenmonkan, and Kagoshima Station the other. Nearby landmarks include an elementary school attached to Kagoshima University's Faculty of Education and Kagoshima Municipal Nakagōri Elementary School.
Notes
Both platforms are too narrow to meet the required standard, so this stop cannot be used by anyone in a manual or powered wheelchair.
