History
Nagareyama-ōtakanomori Station opened on 24 August 2005, on the same day that the Tsukuba Express line began service, and was simultaneously added as an infill stop on the Tōbu Noda Line (Tōbu Urban Park Line), making it an interchange between the two operators in the city of Nagareyama, Chiba. The adjoining Nagareyama-ōtakanomori Shopping Center opened on 12 March 2007. When station numbering was introduced across the Tōbu network on 17 March 2012 the station became TD-22; on the Tsukuba Express it is TX12. From 14 March 2020, when express services began running over the whole of the Tōbu Noda Line, it became an express stop.
Notes
Although the name evokes the goshawks (ōtaka) of the nearby Ichinoya Forest, the place name "Ōtakanomori" did not exist before the station — neighbouring districts were renamed in 2019 to match the rebrand.
