Location
History
Motomiya Station opened on 15 December 1887 on the Tōhoku Main Line, 240.7 kilometres from Tokyo. The station serves the city of Motomiya in Fukushima Prefecture, with the Abukuma River and National Route 4 running nearby. JR East absorbed the station at JNR privatisation on 1 April 1987. The platform layout consists of one island and one side platform connected to the station building, and the station has a staffed Midori no Madoguchi ticket office. Trains run south towards Kōriyama and north towards Fukushima.
