History
Moritsune Station is an elevated Kitakyushu Monorail station in Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu, with station number 09. It opened on 9 January 1985 as part of the original monorail line, and the mono SUGOCA IC card became usable there on 1 October 2015. The station has two side platforms serving two tracks, and it stands in one of the busier areas served by the monorail's stations in Kokuraminami Ward, with the Sunlive Moritsune and Marushoku Shin-Moritsune stores among the commercial facilities clustered nearby.
Notes
The bus stop directly beneath Moritsune Station is served by the Nishitetsu Bus Kitakyushu airport bus running to Kitakyushu Airport, so the monorail station doubles as an interchange for airport traffic. Commercial facilities around the station include the Sunlive Moritsune and Marushoku Shin-Moritsune stores.
