History
Miyanosaka Station opened on 11 September 1940 under the name Chūgū Station, on what is now the Keihan Katano Line in Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture. It took its present name Miyanosaka on 20 June 1971. The station sits 1.0 kilometre from the line's terminus at Hirakatashi and is operated by the Keihan Electric Railway. It has two elevated opposed side platforms with the station building underneath. Landmarks close to the station include the Kudara-dera ruins, Kudara Shrine and the Osaka Prefectural Psychiatric Medical Center.
Notes
The station spent its first three decades as Chūgū Station, taking the name Miyanosaka only in 1971 — the name of the Hirakata neighbourhood in which it stands.
