History
Mitsuke Station opened on 16 June 1898 on what is now the Shinetsu Main Line, 84.4 kilometres from the line's terminus at Naoetsu. It serves the city of Mitsuke in Niigata Prefecture. JR East assumed operations on 1 April 1987 at JNR privatisation. The current platform layout consists of two ground-level opposed side platforms connected by a footbridge, serving two tracks. The station remains the principal rail access for the city.
