Location

History

Minara Station is a station on the Iyo Railway's Yokogawara Line that opened on 4 September 1938 in Tōon, Ehime Prefecture. On 20 July 1981 it was relocated about 100 meters toward Matsuyama, reaching its present location, when the neighboring Aidai Igakubu Minami-guchi Station was newly established. It is a staffed station with an island platform serving two tracks and passing capability, with the ticket gate set toward the Yokogawara end of the platform. Around the station stand the Tōon City Hall, the Tōon Municipal Library and Folklore Museum, Tōon Municipal Shigenobu Junior High School, the L'espace City commercial complex, and Matsuyama Prison, among others, placing it near the principal facilities of central Tōon. Its station number is IY22.
