Location
History
Minamihara Station serves the Uchibō Line in Minamibōsō, Chiba Prefecture, 102.2 km from the western terminus at Soga, and is operated by JR East. It opened on 1 June 1921, passed to JR East at the 1987 JNR privatization, and received a new station building completed in January 2003. The at-grade station has two opposing side platforms linked by a footbridge, and its day-to-day operation is contracted out to JR East Station Services under the Kisarazu Comprehensive Center at Tateyama Station.
Notes
The station name is commonly misread as Minami-Mihara even though the correct reading is Minami-hara.
