History

Minami-kuyakusho-mae opened on 1 March 1982, nearly four decades after the Hijiyama Line that runs through it began service in 1944. It is the only Hijiyama Line stop opened without a corresponding line extension, and remained the line's newest stop until 3 August 2025, when the Ekimae-ōhashi route added the new Matsukawa-cho stop. Station number H7 was assigned in October 1996 and changed to H04 on 3 August 2025. The two low-floor platforms are staggered along a north–south street-running alignment, with the up platform towards Inari-machi to the north and the down platform towards Minami-machi 6-chome to the south; both are long enough to handle articulated cars.

Notes

Minami-kuyakusho-mae is the only Hijiyama Line stop ever opened without a simultaneous line extension; until the new Matsukawa-cho stop joined the line on 3 August 2025, it had been the line's newest addition for over 40 years.
