History
Minakuchi Ishibashi Station opened on 16 August 1957 on the Ohmi Railway Main Line in what is now the city of Kōka, Shiga Prefecture. The station is located 44.4 rail kilometres from the line's terminus at Maibara and lies close to the built-up centre of Kōka. It consists of a single side platform on one bi-directional track and is unstaffed. The station carries the line identifier OR35, sitting between Minakuchi (OR34) and Minakuchi-Jōnan (OR36). In fiscal 2016 it averaged about 60 passengers a day.
Notes
The station takes its name from the stone bridge (ishibashi) on the old Tōkaidō highway, which runs east–west just north of the station, rather than from any feature of the modern town.
