History
Midoribashi Station opened on 29 July 1968 as an intermediate station on Line 4 (the Chūō Line) when the line was extended from Morinomiya to Fukaebashi. It remained a single-line station until 24 December 2006, when Osaka Municipal Subway Line 8 (the Imazatosuji Line) opened and Midoribashi became a transfer hub. Both lines have an island platform serving two tracks; a passageway with a moving walkway connects them. Platform-edge doors entered service on the Chūō Line on 1 August 2024. The station passed to Osaka Metro on 1 April 2018.
Notes
For 23 months — from the station's opening in 1968 until the Midoribashi trolleybus stop closed on 14 June 1970 — Midoribashi was a subway station connecting with the Osaka Municipal Trolleybus.
