Location
History
Matsue Shinjiko-Onsen Station opened on 5 April 1928 as Kita-Matsue Station (北松江駅). It was renamed Matsue-Onsen Station on 1 October 1970 and took its present name on 1 April 2002. It is the terminus of the Ichibata Electric Railway's Kita-Matsue Line, 33.9 km from the line's opposing terminus, and both local and express services call here. The at-grade station has two bay platforms and two tracks and carries station number 22. It stands at 30-2 Nakabara-cho in the city of Matsue, Shimane Prefecture; the Ichibata Electric Railway head office, the Matsue Shinjiko hot spring, the Shimane Prefectural Office and Matsue City Hall, about 200 m east, are in the surrounding area.
