Location

History

Kuzaki Station opened on 3 December 1994 with the opening of the Chizu Line, a route operated by the third-sector company Chizu Express. The station sits 12.2 rail kilometres from the line's terminus at Kamigōri in what is now the town of Sayō, Hyōgo Prefecture; the address changed from Kōzuki-chō to Sayō-chō with the 2005 municipal merger. On 10 August 2009 heavy rain from Typhoon No. 9 (Etau) left the station, which stands beside the Chikusa River, temporarily unable to handle trains, and Chizu Line local services resumed on 29 August.

Notes

The station occupies an elevated platform with no station building, so passengers walk directly up to the tracks; a side track stub built for maintenance equipment was completed alongside the platforms but has never been put into service.
