History
Kurokawa Station opened on 20 December 1971 at Shiromidōri 3-chōme, Kita-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, as a station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Meijō Line (Line 2). A renewal completed on 25 March 1996 added an accessible toilet for disabled passengers, an elevator, and a gallery within the station. Platform-edge sliding doors entered service on 28 September 2020.
Notes
Although it is not normally used, an emergency cross-over exists on the Ōzone side of Kurokawa Station; in addition, a 1992 Council on Transport Policy report (No. 12) once proposed extending a new Subway Kanayama Line to connect with this station, although construction has not commenced.
