History
Kurogō Station is a halt on the Matsuura Railway Nishi-Kyūshū Line, located in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture. It opened on 22 March 1997, nearly a decade after the third-sector Matsuura Railway took over the line in 1988. Before it opened, a temporary station named Sekai Honoo-haku had operated from 1 July to 15 October 1996 on the section between Sandaibashi and the present Kurogō site. The unstaffed station consists of one ground-level side platform with a passenger shelter but no station building, sitting 2.8 km from the line's starting point at Arita.
