History

Kōyadai Station opened on 14 March 1985 with the inauguration of the Kashima Rinkai Railway's Ōarai Kashima Line, in what is today the city of Kashima in Ibaraki Prefecture. It is operated by the third-sector Kashima Rinkai Railway and is located 50.1 kilometres from the line's start at Mito. The station consists of a single elevated side platform serving bi-directional traffic, with the station building underneath to one side. It is unstaffed.
