Location

History

Kotoden-Shido Station opened on 18 November 1911 as Shido Station of the Tōsan Electric Tramway. At the time it stood 50 m west of its present location. It became a station of Shikoku Suiryoku Denki through a company merger on 25 December 1916, and was relocated to its present site and renamed Shido-ekimae Station in May 1931. It became a station of the Sanuki Electric Railway through a business transfer on 30 April 1942, and became a station of the Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad's Shido Line on 1 November 1943. The section between Yakuri Station and this station was suspended on 26 January 1945 as a non-essential line, and it was revived as Kotoden-Shido Station on 9 October 1949. It is an at-grade station with a wooden station building and one side platform with two tracks, station number S15.

Notes

Under the timetable in effect before 27 November 2020, outbound (downbound) trains, except in the early morning and late night, were scheduled to depart again as inbound (upbound) trains about 30 seconds after arrival, so the timetable listed arrival and departure at the same minute.
