History
Toyama Chihō Railway filed a new-station application with the Hokuriku-Shin'etsu Transport Bureau on 17 December 2002, and Kosugi Station opened on the Kamidaki Line on 25 March 2003.
Notes
Kosugi was the first wholly new station to open on Toyama Chihō Railway in 45 years, since the 1958 opening of Asanachō, and was sited to serve students of the adjoining Toyama Prefectural Toyama-Minami High School. A separate Kosugi Station also exists in Imizu on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway about 20 km (15 km straight-line) away with no operational connection.
