Location
History
Kiyosato Station opened as a general station on 27 July 1933, with the opening of the Japanese National Railways Koumi South Line (later the Koumi Line) between Kobuchizawa Station and this station. It became a station of JR East with the privatization and division of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, and on 1 April 2014 Suica became usable there and it was incorporated into the Greater Tokyo area. On 31 October 2018 the Midori no Madoguchi ticket counter closed and it became a contracted-operation station, and on 26 March 2024 it became unstaffed all day. It is located in Kiyosato, Takane-chō, Hokuto, Yamanashi Prefecture, and is a ground-level station with two opposing platforms serving two tracks, connected by a level crossing within the station grounds.
Notes
At an elevation of 1,275 meters, Kiyosato Station is the second-highest station in the JR Group and the highest station in Yamanashi Prefecture.
