History
Kitanoda Station opened on 7 August 1914 on what was then the Kōya Tozan Railway, between Hagiwaratenjin and Sayama. The operator was renamed the Osaka Kōya Railway in 1915, was merged into the Nankai Railway in 1922 and into Kintetsu in the wartime 1944 merger, and the station passed to Nankai Electric Railway with the 1947 line transfer. The station was rebuilt as an elevated overpass-type structure on 16 May 1970. Station numbering NK63 was assigned in April 2012, and in March 2025 the departure indicators were all replaced with LCD displays and the automated announcements switched to an AI system.
Notes
West of the station spreads "Ōmino," a garden-city development with eight roads radiating outward, built by the Kansai Land Company in 1930; developed around the same time as Tokyo's Denenchōfu and similar developments, it is one of the Kansai region's leading residential estate districts.
