History

Kita-Tatsumi Station is an underground station newly built when the Osaka Municipal Subway Sennichimae Line's extension between Shinfukae and Minamitatsumi opened on 2 December 1981. Platform screen doors began operating on 10 May 2014, and the station became one of the Osaka Metropolitan Rapid Transport Authority (Osaka Metro) with the privatisation of the Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau on 1 April 2018. It is an underground station with an island platform serving two tracks and only one ticket gate. It lies about 2 km east of the Ikuno Ward Office, toward Higashiōsaka, and the station's exit 1 connects directly to the Kita-Tatsumi bus terminal, newly built on 5 December 1981.
