Kitamarumori Station in Marumori, Miyagi opened on 1 July 1986 with the start of operations of the Abukuma Express, the third-sector operator of the line. The station lies 39.2 rail kilometres from the line's official starting point at Fukushima. It consists of a single side platform serving one bi-directional track, with no station building; only a shelter sits on the platform itself, and the station is unstaffed. The platform sits below the surrounding ground level, so passengers descend a flight of steps from the entrance.
