Location
History
Kenritsu Daigaku Station opened on 1 April 1930 on the Shonan Electric Railway under an earlier name, Yokosuka-Kugō Station. Shonan merged with the Keihin Electric Railway on 1 November 1941, making it a Keihin station; it passed to Tokyu on 1 May 1942 and to Keikyu at that company's founding on 1 June 1948. Its platform was lengthened from four to six cars on 18 December 1972. It was renamed Keihin-Yasuura, then Keikyu-Yasuura on 1 June 1987, and took its present name on 1 February 2004 from Kanagawa University of Human Services on reclaimed land nearby; the building was rebuilt in 2005. The elevated station in Yasuura-cho 2-chome, Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, has one island platform, two tracks and number KK60.
Notes
During a campaign marking Keikyu's 120th anniversary in tie-up with the series Fist of the North Star, the station's name boards read 「北斗の拳立大学駅」 from 30 July to 17 September 2018.
