History

Keikyū Nagasawa Station opened on 27 March 1966 as Keihin Nagasawa Station on the Keikyū Kurihama Line. The station took its present name on 1 June 1987. Keikyū introduced station numbering across its network on 21 October 2010, when Keikyū Nagasawa was assigned the number KK69. The station sits where the single-track section toward YRP Nobi meets the double-track section toward Tsukuihama; it has a single island platform on an elevated structure, and up trains join the down track immediately after leaving the platform, while the track laid as the up line carries on separately into the tunnel just beyond and ends at a buffer stop on the far side.

Notes

Trains leaving Keikyū Nagasawa toward YRP Nobi briefly look as though they are running the wrong way down the down line: the section beyond the station is worked as single track, so up trains join the down track immediately after departure, while the track laid as the up line continues separately into the tunnel just past the platform and ends at a buffer stop beyond it.
