Location

History

Kawamiya Station opened on 23 March 2001 with the start of Nagoya Guideway Bus operations on the Guideway Bus Shidami Line (Yutorito Line). It was provisionally named Kawamura-minami during planning.

Notes

Kawamiya is an unstaffed elevated stop with two opposed side platforms and two tracks (station number Y06). Like the other stops between here and Shirasawa-keikoku Station, elevators and stairs are provided on each side for one direction only, so passengers cannot cross between platforms without leaving the station. Nearby landmarks include the Asahi Breweries Nagoya factory, the Ryūsenji Kaidō (Aichi Prefectural Route 30), Obata Castle, Yamashita Park and the Nagoya City Moriyama Pool.
