History
Kawakura Station opened on 24 April 1932 on the private Tsugaru Railway Line in what is now the city of Goshogawara, Aomori Prefecture. Operations were suspended on 1 August 1941 and resumed on 20 October 1955. The stop has a single side platform along a single bidirectional track, with no station building other than a weather shelter on the platform, and is unattended. National Route 339 runs near the station, and some Tsugaru Railway trains pass Kawakura without stopping.
