History

Kashima-Asahi Station is a ground-level station in Tsukuriya, Hokota, Ibaraki Prefecture, which opened simultaneously with the opening of Kashima Rinkai Railway's Ōarai Kashima Line on 14 March 1985. The station's name derives from Asahi Village, Kashima District, as it was known at the time of opening. It has one island platform serving two tracks and is operated as an unstaffed station. The Hokota City Hall Asahi General Branch Office is located near the station.
