History

Kasahata Station opened on 22 July 1940 on the Kawagoe Line, in the city of Kawagoe, Saitama. With the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987 the station came under JR East control. The station is served by the Kawagoe Line between Kawagoe and Komagawa and is located 7.7 km from Kawagoe, with daytime services every 20 minutes — some of which continue to Hachiōji via the Hachikō Line. The station has one side platform serving a single bidirectional track, with the station building adjacent to the south side. The station is staffed.

Notes

The Kasumigaseki Country Club next to the station was a planned venue for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
