History

Kanrojimae Station opened on 18 August 1933 as a station on the Wakayama Railway. It was absorbed into the Wakayama Electric Tramway in 1957, and in 1961, following that company's merger with Nankai Electric Railway, it became a station on Nankai's Kishigawa Line. On 1 April 2006, operation of the Kishigawa Line was transferred from Nankai Electric Railway to Wakayama Electric Railway, and the station came under that company. It is an at-grade station with a single side platform serving one track, located in Nagahara, Kishigawa-chō, Kinokawa, Wakayama Prefecture, and is unstaffed.

Notes

On the platform stands a capsule-toy (gachapon) machine dispensing 'love fortune' (koi mikuji) charms themed after Kanroji Mitsuri, a character in the manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba who shares her surname with the station.
