History

Kamiya Station opened on 20 January 1953 on the Gakunan Railway Line, in the city of Fuji, Shizuoka Prefecture. It sits 8.2 km from the line's terminus at Yoshiwara and has one side platform serving a single bidirectional track. The station is unstaffed. In 2002 it was rebuilt with a sloping platform to permit barrier-free access. The line is operated by Gakunan Electric Train.
