Location
History
Kamejima Station opened on 1 April 1969 as a station of the Nagoya Municipal Subway's Higashiyama Line, in Kamejima 1-chōme, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. In 2009 an elevator was installed and the station interior renovated; use of the IC card "manaca" began on 11 February 2011, and platform-edge doors entered use on 19 October 2015. Its station number is H07, and it is an underground station with opposed platforms serving two tracks, administered by the Higashiyama Line Station Affairs Section's Nagoya District Station. Station operations have been contracted to En Expert Co., Ltd. since 1 April 2016.
Notes
East of the station, the Higashiyama Line crosses underground, grade-separated, with the tunnel of the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line, with the subway passing beneath it and curving to the right to run parallel to the Meitetsu and JR lines toward Nagoya Station.
